Ask whether chemicals are included, or billed on top.
A $99 monthly rate with chemicals separate can finish above a $149 all-in rate once July and August arrive and chlorine demand doubles. It is the single most common way a pool service quote turns out to mean something different from what you agreed. Ours are included, always.
More water is more chemical, every week, forever.
An open pool under oaks is a different job from a screened one — and it is the debris, not the water, that drives it.
A pool under heavy oak canopy is a different job from one in the open. Baskets fill faster and the filter loads faster.
Roughly a wash weekly. A salt cell needs attention two to four times a year on top.
A neglected pool costs more to bring back than it costs to keep.
Of nine local pool company websites checked in September 2026, only three showed a price anywhere. Those that do advertise roughly $99 to $175 a month for weekly cleaning, and one advertises from about $31 to $40 a week. We publish ours so you can put them side by side.
Published rates from companies serving Volusia and Seminole County sit around $99 to $175 a month for weekly cleaning, with some advertising from roughly $31 to $40 a week. What moves the number is pool size, whether it is screened, how much tree cover it sits under, and whether chemicals are included or billed on top — which is the line most quotes hide.
Watch which one includes chemicals. A low monthly rate with chemicals billed separately can land well above a higher all-in rate once August arrives and chlorine demand doubles. Ask what a bad month looks like, not what a good one costs.
Green-to-clean is quoted separately because it takes several visits over three to five days, a lot of chemical, and repeated filter cleaning. A pool standing long enough to stain the plaster, or with stabiliser too high for chlorine to work, may need water replaced instead — cheaper than weeks of chemicals that cannot win.
Usually not for the weekly visit. Salt pools need less chlorine bought but more acid, and the cell needs attention every three to six months. Anyone telling you a salt pool is maintenance-free has not serviced one in Florida.
